Some students wish to have print copies of their thesis or dissertation, and there is an option to purchase print or bound copies through Proquest.
Students are not required to use ProQuest as their printing or binding service. There are many other commercial binding services for theses and dissertations available online, where you can upload your PDF and receive a printed copy in a very short amount of time for similar or lower cost than ProQuest's service.
Students selecting to use ProQuest as their printing or binding service should be aware that it will take several months to receive a print copy from ProQuest. This is due to the fact that there are many other steps that must take place to verify a student's degree completion before the manuscript is released to ProQuest for publication and printing.
UCI Libraries does not offer a printing or binding service for electronic or print submissions. We do not endorse any one binding service over others.
