Online Resources (in Japanese) by Type

Can not locate a book from libraries in North America or online as an e-copy? Note that UCI faculty, staff and students can borrow books, published after 1949, from the National Diet Library of Japan via InterLibrary Loan (ILL). Entering a note, such as "If no lending library in North American Library, get it from National Diet Library of Japan", in the ILL form will be helpful.

Also try these large e-book systems, which provide a fairly good number of East Asian books in full-text --

Note: For articles that cannot be obtained from any of the databases listed below and are published in a journal with only a few holding libraries in North America, please add the texts "If no lending library in North Library, get it from National Diet Library of Japan" or the alike in the note field of your ILL Request Form.

Note: For articles that cannot be obtained from any of the databases listed below and are published in a newspaper with only a few holding libraries in North America, please add the texts "Get it from NCC GIF Japanese libraries if not supplied from any North America Libraries" or the alike in the note field of your ILL Request Form. It would be helpful to find holding Japanese libraries who are also NCC GIF participants through CiNii Books, and mention them in the ILL note field.
