The Media History Digital Library (MHDL) is an excellent freely available online resource that features millions of pages of books and magazines from the histories of film, broadcasting, and recorded sound. Works that are no longer in copyright or that have been licensed are scanned to share to the public. To search the collection, their search tool is known is Lantern. Lantern will search and explore their full digital library, or browse their various collections, and you can also search the titles of the publications within the MHDL using the Publication Search instead.
