Film Stills

Film stills (also called publicity stills) are photos taken during the making of a movie or TV show, usually to help promote it. These can include behind-the-scenes shots, actors on set, or images from red carpet events and premieres. Before using a film still in your project, make sure to check the site’s copyright and fair use guidelines. Some stills are copyrighted and can't be used freely—even for schoolwork. If you're unsure or looking for a specific image, a librarian can always help!
