Library Search Help: Getting Started

How to use Library Search
URL: https://guides.lib.uci.edu/library-search-help

Welcome to Library Search

How does this work?

Library Search allows you to search print and e-books, journal articles, digital collections, and more, all in one place. Library Search makes it easy to find, explore, cite, save, and share a broad variety of UCI library resources. For more focused searching consult our Research Guides. For full online access from off-campus, connect through the VPN (Library Search may not work with the WebVPN - we recommend downloading and using the software VPN).

Library Search includes only UCI-owned resources - for books, articles, and more beyond UCI, search Melvyl (UCI, UC Libraries, & libraries worldwide).

Library Search also helps you manage your research. Sign in to your account to:

  • Renew books and other library materials you have checked out

  • Save favorite items and searches

  • Create tags

What am I searching?

  • Scholarly and Peer-Reviewed Articles

  • Books (print and electronic)

  • Newspaper & Magazine Articles

  • Dissertations

  • Films, Video, Music (including sheet music)

  • Government Documents

  • Course Reserves

What happened to ANTPAC?
