Finding Books

Library Search is open to all -- no UC affiliated needed.  Search across the UC catalogs to look for books, whole journals, government publications, and videos when you have keywords, authors, and/or titles in mind.  For each item you want to read, be sure to write down not just the call number, but also the location and title.

Several representative searches are available via live links (keyword searches in Library Search) at this website--click on the link, Major Topics:

InterLibrary Loan Request

When the UCI Libraries do not have a book, journal article, or government publication you want, or the Libraries' copy is checked out, you may have the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service borrow a copy for you from another library.  This service is available only to currently-enrolled UCI students, faculty, and staff.

The fastest way to request materials not available at UCI is to use the Request link in the Library Search.
