A free data repository open to all researchers from any discipline, both inside and outside of the Harvard community, where you can share, archive, cite, access, and explore research data. Each individual Dataverse collection is a customizable collection of datasets (or a virtual repository) for organizing, managing, and showcasing datasets.

The U.S. Government's Open Data. Contains federal, state and local data, tools, and resources to conduct research, build apps, design data visualizations. Includes health, science, and public safety data.

Google's search engine for datasets. It searches datasets hosted in thousands of repositories across the Web.

Dryad is an open data publishing platform and a community committed to the open availability and routine re-use of all research data.

DataBank is an analysis and visualisation tool that contains collections of time series data on a variety of topics. Users can create their own queries; generate tables, charts, and maps; and easily save, embed, and share them.

The U.S. National Archives have some online data resources not likely found elsewhere, if not necessarily statistical in nature.

This site makes available to the public the highest quality and most reliable historical data on important economic aggregates, with particular emphasis on nominal (current-price) measures, as well as real (constant-price) measures. The data covers the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. It also provides carefully designed comparators (using these data) that explain the many issues involved in making value comparisons over time.

This data station allows you to deposit and search for data within the social sciences and humanities. From, DANS, the Dutch national centre of expertise and repository for research data. DANS is one of the leading repositories in Europe.

ACS provides annual data about demographic, social, economic, and housing characteristics of the United States (US) population.
