Guide owners/editors role in accessibility

Guide owners/editors should complete the LibGuides Accessibility Checklist to meet digital accessibility compliance. It's important to remember that Springshare is working to create an accessible environment but we, as guide authors, must understand how to appropriately use those tools. The following pages describe key accessibility considerations applicable to guides, along with examples and additional resources to help you learn more about them.

The Checklist

The LibGuides Accessibility Checklist should be used to review and remediate published and private guides. You can complete the Checklist at your own pace depending on your content. You will need to determine which items are relevant for each of your guides based on the content in each guide. Not all of the items will be applicable to every guide.

Below is a Google Doc version of the LibGuides Accessibility Checklist that you can use to keep track of your progress on each of your guides. The link will force a copy that you can save directly to your own Google Drive. This document is not required to be submitted - it is for your own personal use.
