Library Buildings at UCI

There are two main libraries on UCI's main campus that offer collections and services to students and the community. 

Langson Library

  • Langson Library (Humanities, Social Sciences, Business)
  • Science Library (Sciences, Engineering, Math)

 

The Student Center Parking Structure is the most centrally located public parking structure for both libraries.

Checking out materials

A UCI library card is necessary for checking out materials. If you are enrolled in an AP or IB class, you may be eligible for a library courtesy card. Please have your AP or IB teacher contact the UCI Library's Circulation Coordinator at circadm@uci.edu in advance of your visit.

To check out a book when you are on campus, you will need to write down the book's call number and then find it in the stacks. Learn how to do that by watching our anteater mascot find and check out a book in Langson Library in this video:

Computers, Printing, and Wifi

Computers

Visitors can use any public computer in the UCI Libraries. Find out where available computers are here.


Printing

Visitors may print at UCI Libraries for $0.12 per page ($0.50 per page color). Scanning is free.

Wifi

Visitors can now use their own laptops or mobile device to access the campus Wifi network:​

  1. Open a browser and try to connect to any Web page.
  2. You will be directed to Express Registration.
    • Click Register as a Visitor of UCI.
      1. Read the Visitor agreement and fill in the Web form
      2. Click Submit 

Visitor access to the UCI network is granted for a 24 hour period. See more information about mobile registration here.
