What can I access?
- PublicAccess is generally available to all people. Registration or account creation might be required to access.
For commercial websites, the UC Irvine Libraries do not offer premium memberships or subscriptions.
Access is available to all people ON the UC Irvine campus and at GML.
OFF campus access requires Authorized Affiliates to log into the VPN with their active UCInetID and password. Authorized Affiliates are people with an active UCInetID and password, i.e., current UC Irvine students and employees.

These resources are not licensed by the UC Irvine Libraries, but librarians occasionally promote them when they are relevant for certain types of research.

U.S. financial institution data for 96,000+ branch locations, including banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations, etc. Data is provided voluntarily and focuses on retail products offered to the general public. Data availability varies by time and type.
The UC Irvine Libraries license two RateWatch products:
Output includes fields such as: certification number, institution name, address, asset size, institution type, MSA codes and federal reserve districts. Data is provided in a format compatible with Excel, SPSS, MathLab and other processing programs. Each set includes a data dictionary. Data can be packaged by geography, historical time period and product details and combined with institution identifiers for handling and analyzing. The RateWatch Quality team monitors data collection methods at every step to ensure currency and precision.
Because of data vendors' restrictions, some resources require you to take additional steps (jumping through hoops) to access. To request access, please complete the form below.
