Please check Library Search before requesting an ILL.  Preferred method is to use MELVYL Request icon to execute book loan from another campus - if title is not there, use one of the following links via Library Search.

Finding Books

There are many ways to identify the availability of a book and whether or not it is in print. The order of this recommendation includes priorities for UCI users. Increasingly, books are becoming available as eBooks. There may be multiple records for the different formats in Library Search

Finding book chapters is increasingly important and available in the digital arena. Many eBook platforms allow one to search at the chapter or full text level, and those will be noted in each subject area.

Books & E-Books

UCI Access Only

There is a growing collection of eBooks in the UCI Collection.  All are individually noted by title in Library Search and MELVYL and also often part of collections arranged by subject or by publisher.  Most books can be searched by the Table of Contents at the chapter level and read online, downloaded or copied. This list of collections covers the broad topical span of subjects covered in this Subject Guide.  * identifies those resources restricted to UCI affiliates.
