They provide information, research, education, and public programs in an attempt to assist people and institutions in their effort to "promote health, enhance the efficient use of water resources, and protect environmental values."
Currently the collection consists of bulletins from the CA Dept of Water Resources and its predecessor agencies from 1922 to 2000. These bulletins present findings & investigations conducted throughout the years from all of Calif.
Topics represented in this collection include: water quality, flood control, water distribution, water conservation, water usage, and drought as well as some geology. The collection also contains materials pertaining to the creation and operation of the Central Valley Project, the California State Water Project, and their component units.
