There are many resources at the UCI Libraries devoted to the study of Public Health. The collection is young as is the academic program here and it is focused upon the general materials, and the specific research interests and coursework that is offered at the present. It is anticipated that the collection will grow rapidly in parallel as the program expands its emphases and more faculty and students join it. Some of the current special interests reflect strong interdisciplinary interests and include: global health, vaccination/immunizations, poverty, maternal child health, water transmitted diseases, environmental health, responding to natural disasters, gender issues, infectious diseases, GIS, demography/population studies, tobacco use, aging & geriatrics, international development, reproductive health, children, nutrition/diet, etc. The Subject Guide for Public Health is what you should depend upon as a pathway to special subject-related resources. It is recommended that you "bookmark" or add as a "favorite" on your personal computer list of resources/websites.

You are likely to probably depend on the Science Library (SL) for most of your needs in the life sciences, physical sciences, information sciences, engineering & technology, clinical and health sciences, however you may have to use the Langson Library (LL) for business/management, social & behavioral sciences, arts, letters & literature, Government Information and perhaps the Grunigen Medical Library (GML) for clinical and other medical resources. There is also the Gateway Study Center for all-night studying.
