Getting Started with StoryMaps

Logging in to StoryMaps, setting up your Cover, and adding Credits (run time: 10 min)

Start your Story

Go to storymaps.arcgis.com and sign in. This will take you to your Stories page. It will look something like this:

Create a Cover

Click on Title your story to type in your title. Click below the title to add a subtitle (it's optional), and, below that to adjust your byline.

How to create a cover (title) to your story

You'll notice in the upper right that there's an option to Add cover image or video.

Edit your Credits

You can also add credits to your StoryMap.  Some options are to add a citation, credit others who might have worked on the project.  Another possibility is to add a Creative Commons license.
