Overview Resources

Encyclopedias, handbooks, and other types of companion materials are a great place to start research. Entries can provide an overview of an author, work, or topic, including sub-themes and additional resources to check out. Entries may also help us understand the scholarly conversation around a topic and list some of the scholars and works that have shaped that conversation.

While we do have a number of materials available digitally, many encyclopedias are only accessible in print and cannot be checked out. These resources may be useful when we are back on campus.
