Nielsen Datasets: Eligible Users: Get Access

About

Eligible Users:  Get Access

  1. Visit the Kilts Center Registration website.
    Country:  United States
    Institution:  University of California Irvine.

You'll be redirected to a page with a message saying Contract Found.  From there, you'll see a link to the Request Access page. Enter your information in the Request Access form to request a registration code.

    PhD students and Postdocs:
When you register with the Kilts Center, you must list a faculty advisor, who must be a full-time tenured or tenure-track professor from the subscribing institution.  Your advisor must also individually complete the full registration process.  The UCI Libraries’ Nielsen Datasets administrator doesn't receive the Kilts Center’s automated email to approve a PhD student or Postdoc until the advisor first completes their own registration.

  2. The UCI Libraries’ Nielsen Datasets administrator typically approves code requests within 48 hours during the business week.  If you have not received an update after 48 hours, please use UCI’s Ask A Librarian email service, and copy/paste this message:

    • I am a researcher requesting access to the Nielsen Datasets.  It has been more than 48 hours since I submitted my request for a registration code.  This link has instructions for UCI Libraries staff to approve my request for a registration code (LibApps login required).

After you register, the Kilts Center will review your project(s) and send you a final activation email, along with steps for how to access the data.
