How to Find Film/TV Reviews in Newspapers

1. Start by searching either the Los Angeles Times or New York Times news databases, linked above. Enter the title of the show or film in the first field, using quotes to search it as a phrase if 2 or more words. For example:

2. Scroll down to "more search options" and select the dropdown menu next to "document type" or after searching, limit results to "review". Sometimes this can include book reviews and other sources but you should bea ble to find movie reviews as well.

3. Find an article on your show and scroll down to the indexing box at the end of the article, click on the subject heading to find more specific articles on your show

*Hint if your show is not coming up, try inserting the TV/Film producer or writer in the second field
