Please note, in Education Source, you can select the "Choose Databases" link above the search box and add ERIC to your search, allowing you to search across both databases at once. This strategy can be great for keyword searching, though for precise advanced searches, the subjects/descriptors for the two databases are different.

Journal articles, conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs on education-related literature compiled by the U.S. Institute of Education Science but using the ProQuest search interface.

Education Source via EBSCO is an excellent place to research a vast array of education topics. This database includes peer reviewed, scholarly journals, conference papers, videos, and some Open Access journals.
Teacher Reference Center This link opens in a new window
Provides indexing and abstracts for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.
Primary Search This link opens in a new window
Primary Search, designed specifically for elementary school students, contains full text for popular elementary school magazines. All full-text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Additionally, Primary Search includes the Encyclopedia of Animals, and features Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, providing students with easy-to-read encyclopedic entries written specifically for kids. The database also provides the American Heritage Children's Dictionary, 3rd Edition from Houghton Mifflin and thousands of relevant photos, maps and flags.

Published by the American Psychological Association (APA), PsycINFO provides an international index for scholarly literature in the psychological, social, behavioral, and health sciences. The database includes material of relevance to psychologists and professionals in related fields such as psychiatry, management, business, education, social science, neuroscience, law, medicine, and social work.

Sociological Abstracts indexes social and behavioral sciences journal articles, book reviews, books, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers. It also covers topics such as culture and social structure; health, medicine and law; policy and planning; religion and science; and women's studies.
Education Index Retrospective: 1929-1983 This link opens in a new window
Indexes an international range of historical English-language Education journals from 1929-1983. Subject coverage includes adult education, continuing education, literacy standards, multicultural/ethnic education, teaching methods and more.

An open access journal thatl publishes systematic reviews, evidence and gap maps, and methods research papers. Prepared under the editorial control of the Campbell Collaboration.
What Works Clearinghouse
The WWC is a central and trusted source of scientific evidence on education programs, products, practices, and policies. They review the research, determine which studies meet rigorous standards, and summarize the findings. They focus on high-quality research to answer the question “what works in education?”

A scholarly journal of opinion and research in education.
Review of Educational Research
An American Educational Research Association journal that publishes critical, integrative reviews of research literature bearing on education.
Review of Research in Education
Pubilshed annually, this journal provides a forum for analytic research reviews on selected education topics of significance to the field. Each volume addresses a topic of broad relevance to education and learning, and publishes articles that critically examine diverse literatures and bodies of knowledge across relevant disciplines and fields.
Sociology of Education
Publishes research that examines how social institutions and individuals’ experiences within these institutions affect educational processes and social development.
Teachers College Record
A journal of research, analysis, and commentary in the field of education.
