Connect from Off-Campus

Need to use the UCI Libraries' licensed online resources from anywhere off-campus?  We recommend the Desktop VPN, which UCI students may download for free.  More details

Questions?  Problems with the VPN?  Call the OIT HELP DESK @ 949.824.2222

OIT/Office of Information Technology students/staff answer this 24/7.

Find articles from the ethnic press

The ethnic press offers a perspective different from the mainstream press.  Newspapers from specific ethnic communities, such as those in agricultural areas or those where immigrants are newcomers seeking jobs, reflect local concerns and issues.

Find articles from the mainstream press

The UCI Libraries subscribe to a wide array of local, regional, national, and international news sources.  Some we subscribe to, so access from off-campus via Web VPN or Software VPN is limited to currently-enrolled UCI students, faculty, and staff.  Others, such as today's Los Angeles Times, are available for free to all.
